My previous trackball broke after I dropped my Blackberry. Looked at a lot of sites on the web to buy a replacement. Some sites were charging WAY more than this seller. This is very inexpensive and arrived quicky. Worth the money.

I bought this product because my bb curve trackball stopped going down so i had to navigate around using it for over 2 months. Then i bought one off ebay for the same price as this one, free shipping, but it came it the mail broken. They i bought this one and it came in quickly, i ordered on sunday and it came on wednesday. I find it pretty awesome for the first hour of using but it got sticky after and i have to put a little pressure to make it work well going up and down. But i dont really care it was only $3 and free shipping and better than what i was using before. Also i got a new ring with i needed because the other one was chipped and the new ball was brighter too, very well lit now. OVERALL ITS OK.

After seeing the huge number of positive reviews on this product, I decided to order it to replace my quickly deteriorating Blackberry Curve 8330 trackball and broken ring. I researched how to replace it, watched several videos on youtube, and was eager to do the swap when they arrived.
I ordered 2 so I'd have another for the future, but one of the two rings arrived broken in the mail, so it was useless.
The replacement takes about 2 minutes total, but I was horribly disappointed in the quality of this trackball. The new trackball felt very gritty, as though there was sand in it, and moving it hardly ever registered with the blackberry. I thought it was just a fluke, so I swapped back to my original trackball, and found that even though it was old and kind of worn out, it gives much better response than the new one, and didn't feel gritty.
After that, I tried the second new trackball, but that one also felt very gritty, and it even makes a gritty sound when you scroll with it. You have to scroll like 10 times really fast to get the menus to even move up or down 1 selection, which is far worse than the original trackball.
For now I'm going back to my old original trackball until I can find a decent source for replacements.
Fortunately the seller quickly offered a refund for the order, but it was still a waste of my time to order, wait, replace the trackball, and contact the seller. Stay away.

Lost your trackball? Have your phone insured? I did. And I do. It would have cost me $90 for my insurance claim and they probably would have just given me a new phone! Saw this online, purchased it, received it quickly and voila! I put it in and works fabulously! Nothing to it. What cost less than five bucks saved me a $90 claim, and reentering all my contacts etc in a new phone! Thanks!!!
