I broke the "lens" about 3 months ago and went to the cell phone store where I purchased it. They said it would be $100 in order to replace it. I went ahead and did so because I needed my phone for work. Got a refurb (yeah, I was suckered in) and had it for about two months. Then, it broke again. I decided to Google replacing it and felt stupid when I saw videos on Youtube, OEM products on Amazon, and DIY solutions.
This comes off incredibly easy and yes it will break. I had a scratch resistant film on it which held everything together as it broke. I pried around the entire plastic and it popped off.
Next, place the 3M film on the new lens. Remove the brown paper from the film to reveal the 2nd side of the sticky film. Place it on the cell phone and that's it!
Things to watch out for:
1. Breaking the plastic as you remove it could pierce the LCD. Take caution when removing it.
2. Watch those fingerprints! I'm stuck looking at a fingerprint every time I look at my cell phone because I didn't observe it when I placed it on the LCD. Have an LCD cloth ready to wipe off any unwanted prints.

After dropping my BlackBerry and cracking the lens I went to my cell phone provider to look at getting it fixed. They wouldn't even look at it. All they would say was $125 to exchange for a refurbished unit. I found these and through it was worth a shot. It took less than 5 minutes. I heated the old lens with a hair drier to soften the glue and peeled it off. I used a butter knife to get is started. I pulled the backing off the glue and set the new one in place and it looks like new. I no longer have to be embarrassed by the numerous cracks in the lens. I bought a spare cover just in case, since the price was right.

Just remove paper over glue, line up into position, and snap into place. Had a harder time removing old lens. Great product!

I bought this because my phone face was scratched really badly. Thought I would give it a try. To my amazement, this product is an answer to people who want to replace their clear lens. Very easy to install. I pried the old cover off from the top (where the silver part is). It didn't pop off all together and broke. But, the pieces came off easily. The new cover has an adhesive backing and you have to remove the covering over this (like a band-aid) Then just stick it on. Simple. Amazon has very good price for it and other products for that matter. Used the expedite shipping and received it in two days just before Labor Day holiday.

Good product -great idea since we all scratch our Blackberries, but not easy to use. Tape was missing from the shipment. Company responded quickly, and sent tape - good customer service. I still returned the product. If you know a lot about cell phones, and how they are put together, this product will work.
